How to check where a URL redirects

Example

Good to know

• 301 is permanent and passes SEO value to the new URL. 302 and 307 are temporary. 308 is permanent and keeps the request method.
• Keep chains to one hop where possible; every extra hop slows the page down.
• A URL that redirects back to itself creates a loop, and browsers will show an error.
